State Fair Transit Center FAQs

Will this transit center replace Rosa Parks Transit Center?

No. The State Fair Transit Center will not replace the Rosa Parks Transit Center. Instead, it is an additional transit center for DDOT.

Is the location final?

No. The current outline of the transit center is a concept based on the existing service, destinations, and future improvements to come to the area with the overall project.

Will DDOT be hosting meetings to get my input as a rider?

DDOT will host a series of engagement opportunities to hear from our riders and stakeholders on this project.

How will this affect my trip?

Positively, we hope. While we work on exploring where the transit center will be located, we plan to maintain service from existing routes to the transit center for simple connections to be made by riders.

This is an opportunity to improve the overall experience for transit riders. By providing multimodal amenities and a safe, well-lit and clean space to wait on buses all year round, we see this as an opportunity to ensure all riders, including our ADA riders, see true improvements to their trips through this facility.

What do you need from me as a rider?

We want to hear from you. In order to truly make this project a success, we will engage our riders and community members over the next two years from the beginning through the completion and afterward to ensure we are successful in meeting our goals of this transit center.

When is the transit center expected to open?

The overall project including the transit center is expected to open in 2022.
