You can get vaccines for your child even if you are not able to pay. The Detroit Health Department provides vaccines to children who qualify. Our Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program helps families who may not be able to afford vaccines get them. We are here to help all children get needed vaccines on time. VFC vaccines protect babies, young children, and teenagers from 16 diseases.
Yes, the WIC (Women, Infants, and Children Program) clinic offer vaccines for children and adults. At the WIC clinic you can learn more about vaccines, get the vaccines you need, and get a copy of your shot records
This is a collaborative effort between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state and local health care providers, and volunteer sentinel clinicians to monitor the impact of influenza in Michigan. If you are a medical provider, public health clinic, urgent care center, emergency room, or university student health center, you can sign up to be an influenza sentinel provider!
If you do not want your child or children vaccinated, you must complete a form called a non-medial waiver and receive vaccine education before your child can enter school and child care centers. This new rule began on January 1, 2015 and applies to all families opting out of vaccines in our state.
