DWSD Legal Notices

The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) provides customers with legal notices. The following are the current notice(s).

• A settlement has been reached in the case of Abbott, et al v. City of Detroit, Water and Sewerage Department, United States District Court Case No. 17-10761, Eastern District of Michigan, Southern Division. The Notice of Class Action Settlement pertains to all persons or entities who or which are water customers within the City of Detroit and are exempt from the Industrial Waste Control Charge (IWC) yet were assessed the IWC from November 13, 2014 through August 31, 2017.
