DWSD Customer Service Portal and Payment Systems Unavailable August 25-28

Beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 25 through Sunday, August 28, most DWSD payment platforms will be unavailable due to technology improvements and maintenance. During this time, customers will be unable to make DWSD bill payments using the online Customer Service Portal, by phone, and at a Divdat kiosk. Previously set up auto-pay, mail and drop-off payments will be processed as normal. All payment platforms will available Monday, August 29. We appreciate your understanding and patience while we complete these important upgrades to our billing system and apologize for any inconvenience. Please plan accordingly.

 

You can pay your water bill and access your Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) account on our Customer Portal.

On the portal you can:

  • View your current bill and billing history;
  • Make or schedule a payment;
  • Enroll in auto-pay;
  • Enter a payment arrangement; or
  • See and track your water usage.

With an online account, you can use Amazon Alexa with the “Detroit Water” skill to ask Alexa about:

  • Current and past bills;
  • Balance and due date; and
  • Current and past water usage, and even compare usage.
