Fire Marshal Division

The mission of the Detroit Fire Marshal Division is to provide the citizens and visitors of Detroit with the highest level of fire prevention methods and fire protection engineering, using standards and codes set forth by the Detroit Fire Prevention and Protection Ordinance, NFPA, and the  Michigan Building Code for the purpose of fire prevention through inspections, code enforcement, plan review, investigation, and public education, all delivered with outstanding customer service.
