Council Member Bio
Angela Whitfield Calloway is a former adult education instructor, human resources administrator, hearing officer, and life-long Detroiter. She has always advocated for quality education, safer and cleaner neighborhoods, and a better quality of life for those underrepresented in Detroit and specifically in District 2. Whitfield Calloway is committed to ensuring the issues and concerns of District 2 are heard and addressed. No matter how tough the decisions, they will all be made in the best interest of the residents in District 2.
Education:
- Graduated from Cooley HS
- Earned a Bachelor’s degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA
- Earned a Juris Doctor from Detroit College of Law
