0% Home Repair Loans

The Detroit 0% Home Repair Loans Program offers 0% interest loans from $5,000 to $25,000 to help Detroit homeowners invest in and repair their homes – promoting public health and safety, increasing property values and helping residents secure and maintain homeowner’s insurance.

Detroit LeadSafe Housing

The City of Detroit aims to increase the number of lead-safe residential housing units in the City. To qualify for the Detroit LeadSafe Housing Program, there must be a child under the age of 6 living, or regularly visiting, the home. The occupants must meet income and other requirements.

Senior Emergency Home Repair Program

There is currently a waiting list for the Senior Emergency Home Repair Program that is more than a year long. HRD is unable to assist clients with immediate needs. If you are a low-income homeowner over the age of 62, or are over the age of 55, AND receive Social Security Disability, you may be placed on a waiting list to receive services. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please call 313-224-6380.

The Detroit Land Bank Authority has a summary of available financial resources, such as down payment assistance and rehabilitation loans.

 

The Michigan State Housing Development Authority can help you find rental housing affordable to your family.

 

The Michigan State Housing Development Authority has homeownership resources including mortgages, down payment assistance, foreclosure preventing, and education and counseling.
